The seamless integration of LRS software with the SAP solution suite will be no surprise to long-time readers of this Blog. This high level of synergy is no accident; our two companies have been working together for more than a quarter of a century. From the launch of our DRS/SAPR2 solution in 1997, our staff presence at the SAP PartnerPort in Germany, through numerous releases of our BC-XOM certified VPSX/OutputManager interface, LRS has shown our commitment to helping SAP customers manage critical documents.
As the SAP portfolio has evolved, so has our output management solution set. Whether running on the mainframe, in various R3 environments, NetWeaver, or SAP’s new cloud-based offerings, LRS software makes document delivery faster, more reliable, and more secure.
As such, we are proud to announce that our VPSX product has achieved certified integration with SAP S/4HANA. This integration complements enterprise business processes involving print and helps SAP customer organizations save time and money. LRS software provides the infrastructure to eliminate legacy individual language forms as well as specialty font chips and barcode software. Using proven VPSX software, SAP administrators no longer need to juggle specialized printer tray configurations, manual SAP printer definitions, and multiple print servers, across each and every SAP Spool server, the entire SAP Printing Landscape can be centrally managed and maintained from VPSX.
The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that VPSX V1R3.0 integrates with SAP S/4HANA using standard integration technologies. SAP S/4HANA is the next-generation business suite, designed to act as the digital core, helping customers drive digital transformation across their organizations. LRS solutions ensure reliable document delivery in this new environment.
With the announcement of certified support for SAP S/4HANA, LRS software can now run on-premise, in a hybrid configuration, or any-premise (private cloud/infrastructure as a service). It can also run in SAP’s HEC environment (subject to additional fees from SAP as well as LRS license and operational fees, if managed service is required). As an alternative, VPSX can be operated and provisioned in Azure as a part of LRS’ own Managed Services private cloud SAAS offering.
Customers that heavily rely on their business-critical SAP systems are understandably reluctant to make major changes to their SAP computing environments. The move toward a cloud-based SAP future is no exception, and SAP has recently extended their deadline for full S/4HANA migration until 2027. Where SAP document delivery is involved, VPSX/OutputManager software minimizes the time and risk involved in this impending migration. With certified support for SAP S/4HANA as well as all previous SAP versions and environments, our interface products and services staff provide a smooth path toward a cloud-based SAP future.
