LRS Releases Output Management Solution for SUSE and RedHat Linux
[SPRINGFIELD, IL - March 21, 2005] - Today, Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS) announced it is shipping a new version of its popular VPSX output management solution. Designed to run under SUSE Linux and RedHat Linux on Intel-based servers, the new version of VPSX gives customers greater flexibility in their choice of hardware platforms.
"By expanding our offering to run on Intel-based processors, we move one step closer to our goal of helping customers manage all their business-critical application output, regardless of source platform, target device, or type of network," says John Howerter, LRS Senior Vice President of Product Marketing. "Our VPSX solution is already providing secure delivery of documents originating on Sun, AIX, HP, and zSeries hardware. The new version of VPSX makes the same web-based interface and solid functionality available to customers who run SAP R/3 and other business applications on Intel-based servers." The new version also supports VPSX/OutputManager, a fully certified interface to the SAP R/3 output spool.
