All work and no play would make LRS a dull company — and LRS doesn’t do dull. We like to compete. We like to win. We like high performance, continuous improvement, and beating the big guys at their own game.
That’s why we love Tim Wilkerson and his nitro-powered Ford Shelby Mustang.
He’s our hometown hero (right up there with Abraham Lincoln), and LRS has sponsored Team Wilkerson Racing for the last 16 seasons. He has won two of the six races so far this year and once again sits at the top of the NHRA Championship Funny Car points standings. We at LRS couldn’t be prouder.
In his most recent race at the Houston SpringNationals, Wilk set a new track record with a career best time of 3.899 seconds at 327.59 miles per hour. Which means that before you read to the end of this sentence, Wilk and his 9000-horspower Ford Shelby Cobra could have covered the length of the 1000-foot track to cross the finish line. Twice.
Come on, take a break from managing your print network and join Wilk’s Warriors as they cheer Tim on toward the NHRA championship. Or click here to hear our humble hero explain the secret to his success.
See you at the races!
