The infrastructure that supports SAP printing and SAP document management in most enterprises is complex and costly to manage. Since 1997, LRS has been delivering SAP printing solutions that help customers meet their service level agreements (SLAs) while reducing the costs of document delivery. Our SAP-certified VPSX/OutputManager® and VPSX/OutputManager Cloud solutions replace nearly all of the native SAP print server infrastructure and specialized hardware. The result is a reduction in administration and helpdesk resources required to manage and support SAP printing environments. When problems do occur, the simple web-based interface makes them easy to find and even easier to resolve.

Evolution of LRS Print & Scan Solutions for SAP

SAP originally developed its External Output Management (BC-XOM) interface to offer a scalable alternative to problematic native OS-based document facilities. With the advent of Cloud-based offerings, SAP has continued to enhance and evolve its interfaces to external output management solutions.

LRS® Output Management software leverages the BC-XOM interface to provide reliable end-to-end document delivery and status feedback between the SAP user interface to the printed page. It also uses BC-XOM Printer Extensions to implement the programmatic maintenance of SAP printer objects. The VPSX/OutputManager product is also certified for use with the RISE with SAP service.

The VPSX/OutputManager Cloud product is certified for the SAP BTP-PRINT-OMS interface and may be used with SAP DM (Digital Manufacturing) or any other application interfacing with the SAP BTP-PRINT service.

Hardcopy documents often drive critical business workflows, especially those containing barcodes or other process automation devices. Our MFPsecure®/Scan solutions let you capture and initiate document workflows from touchscreen-enabled MFPs, mobile devices, and more. These images can be stored for input into your SAP systems and/or processing with advanced LRS Optical Character Recognition (OCR) facilities to automate business processes.

Why Change? The customer had a very complex and highly unstructured print infrastructure with a large variety of hardware brands and software solutions. Print infrastructure failings increased the importance of printing and made it a top priority.
